

Richard Glen Austin (39) of Yakima, WA passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Richard was born in Yakima, WA on June 5, 1971 to Larry and Diana Austin. He was raised in Tieton, WA and graduated from Highland High School.
Richard has worked as a mechanic for the past 20 years in the valley, the most recent was Advanced Automotive. He loved cars and knew the inside out of every make and model. In his twenties, Richard had a passion for bracket racing at Renegade Raceway, where he took many titles. Richard was also active in the Tieton Gun Club and Tieton Fire Department.
Richard was an avid outdoorsman with his best friend Krista, who both loved archery, hunting, camping, jeeping and working on their home. Richard was a confident man who always saw the positive side of life and knew how to enjoy life to its fullest. He loved spending time with his fiancé, his daughters, friends and family.
He was preceded in death by father, Larry Austin and grandfathers, Glen Thomas and Arion Austin.
Richard is survived by his fiancé of six years, Krista Clausing; two daughters, Ashley Austin and Kimberly Austin; mother, Diana Place (John); three sisters, Amanda King (Jake), Shavonne Place (Vernon) and Kourtney Borjorquez (Chris); various aunts, uncles and cousins.
