

Richard “Dick” James Schiffner Sr. of Selah passed away on January 8th 2012. He was born on July 17th, 1932 in Walla Walla to Adolph and Sara (Sally) Schiffner. Richard and his parents owned and operated Dresswell Cleaners in Yakima for many years. He then went to work for ITT as a sales rep and retired in 1988. He always had a deep love for music and was an accomplished musician. He also enjoyed riding his horses. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Ronnie; children, Richard Jr., Kimberly, Mark, Stephen, Chana, Lisa and Tina. Survived also by numerous grand-children, great grand-children, sister and brother in laws.
He is preceded in death by both parents, a sister, Darlene Soden, a son, Steven and grandson, Christian Elder. He will be greatly missed by his family and numerous friends. After suffering many years from numerous debilitating diseases, Richard has gone home to be in heaven.
A visitation will be held at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. An additional visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00-8:00p.m. with a vigil at 6:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes in Selah, with a burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
