

Rich William Seefried, 60, of Yakima, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. The son of Mary and William Seefried, he was born March 2, 1952 in Oreville, Washington.
Rich worked for the West Valley School District for ten years as a custodian; he especially loved working at West Valley Middle School and all the people he worked with. Rich retired in January of 2012. Before working with the West Valley School District he worked at Boise Cascade for 20 years, and attended Perry Tech.
Rich had a great passion for the outdoors, he loved to fish and ride motorcycles. He had a passion for all cars and would love to pull into any car lot to check out new and old cars. Rich loved carpentry, he was constantly in his garage working on a dresser or table for one of his children. Rich loved his family and the Lord with all his heart, especially his wife. Rich would say his greatest accomplishment in life was being an excellent father, brother, son and husband. He had an amazing relationship with God and enjoyed spending time in His word.
Rich is survived by his loving wife Kristi Seefried, his five children Rebecca Larsen, Angela Arellano and her husband Raul, David Larsen, Tracy Seefried, and William Seefried; his grandchildren Amethyst Larsen, Augustine Santiesteban, Kayla Arellano, and Ricardo Arellano; his brother Joe Seefried and his wife Marilyn; and his sister Christie Phelps and her husband Charles. Rich is preceded in death by his mother Mary Seefried and his father William Seefried.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church. Keith & Keith Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the North Star Lodge. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Boyd and all the wonderful staff at North Star who have all become his family these past 15 years.
