Bob left a 66-year trail of love, humor, engine parts and no-nonsense advice (whether you asked for it or not). He will be greatly missed by his wife of 37 years, Barbara (how she did it is anyone’s guess); sons Robert and Josh; daughters Amber and Rebecca. He was a beloved Grandpa to his grandchildren Taylor, Taryn, Tanner, Bryce, Delaney and Kendra.
Although Bob was born in Kendallville, Indiana on July 8, 1948, he had called Washington State home since 1970. In 1993 Bob became the face of Seattle's T&D Machine where he worked with his best friend and business partner Gary Taylor. Their business was fueled by a joint passion for all things automotive. Second only to Barbara and his family, the love of Bob's life was building fast racing motors. He spent his happiest days at the racetrack burning rubber.
Being the no-frills type he was; it was Bob’s wish to forgo a funeral service. We will however, honor his legacy with a casual memorial and potluck at Renegade Raceway in Yakima, WA on Saturday June 6, 2015 at 5pm. All are welcome (track entrance fee is $10). "Awesome Bob" we will miss you and your perfect hair helmet. We will smile each time we hear thunder from the sky – knowing it's your racing motor as you tear up the big blue yonder!
