Robert James Carey

After being in the Navy Bob earned his AA degree from Yakima Valley Junior College where he excelled at baseball as a center fielder. In May of 1948 he and Larayne Morgan were married. Bob worked for Lynch Motor Company for 36 years where he loved the car business and made many customers into friends . After retirement he could be found helping out with his two sons at Carey Motors.

Bob and Larayne enjoyed tennis for many years at the Yakima Tennis Club. They also liked to vacation in Maui Hawaii where they made new friends each year.

Bob was an avid golfer, originally with his brother Jack at the Yakima Elks Golf and Country Club and most recently, even up to the age of 98, at the Yakima Country Club.

He was proceeded in death by his father James Carey, mother Margaret Withers, son Mike Carey and brother Jack Carey. Bob is survived by his wife Larayne Carey, son Pat Carey (Diane), and grandchildren, Meghan Carey, Ryan (Ineke)Carey, Tyler Carey, Lauren (Brooks) Archer, nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. A family service will held at a later date.
