

Robert A. Christenson, 96, of Yakima went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 1,2015 while residing at Landmark Care Center. Born May 25, 1919 in Almira, WA, his family moved to Cowiche when he was around 3 years old.
Bob married Vivian Fredlund on October 18, 1941 in Tacoma, WA. They raised their family in Cowiche where they had an apple orchard and operated a cattle ranch and feedlot for many years. He also worked in the fruit industry for Independent Cannery as a field man for a few years after selling the ranch. Bob had a Christian spirit and love for God that touched the lives of everyone he met.
He married Leona Baer in 1993 in Yakima. They resided at Orchard Park before his move to Landmark in 2011. Bob was preceded in death by his first wife Vivian in 1992; his parents Alfred and Connie Christenson and 2 brothers, Don Christenson and John Christenson. He is survived by his son, Ron Christenson (Sue) of Yakima; his daughters, Cherie (Ron) Garrison of Spokane and Jeannie (Mark) Stephen of Cowiche; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson due any day; a brother, James Christenson of Yakima and a sister Esther Wine of Lynden, WA, and many nieces and nephews. Also by his wife Leona Christenson of Everett, WA and her children, Marian Hanson, Paul Baer, and Lou Baer, and her 3 grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gondo and his staff and the staff at Landmark Care Center for all the wonderful care they gave to Papa thru all the years. He really appreciated all of you.
Visitation will be held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.
Memorial Services will be held at West Valley Church, on the corner of Nob Hill Blvd. and 72nd Ave., on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 1:30 pm.
Family burial will be held at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
