Robert (Bob) Dale Martin, 75 Years young, a devout Christian, Marine, Husband, Father, and Papa from Yakima, WA, returned to his Heavenly Father on October 18, 2025.
He was born in Mesa, AZ in 1949 to his parents Oscar and Myrtle Martin. At a young age he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served our country with two rounds in Vietnam and Desert Storm. He ended his military career as a Master Sgt in the U.S. Marine Corp. He took extreme pride and Honor in serving his country. His onward career leaves an impressive resume of being a Deputy Sheriff for the county of San Diego, CA, a helicopter pilot, stunt pilot, businessman, spokesperson, truck driver and his favorite role of all a family man.
Bob was a devoted Christian who cherished his Bible and the teachings of Yahshua. He was a proud proclaimer of his faith and spent many years speaking at various churches and events about his testimony. He was the living embodiment of 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 “Be on your guard, stand firm in the Faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love.” His life stood testament to this. He valued Honor, Courage, Commitment and faith; he spoke with passion on these values any chance he would get. His Christian values informed every aspect of his life and molded him into a fervent Godly Man, with unshakable faith.
Bob, in his passing, is reunited with his parents and six of his brothers in Heaven with his Heavenly Father. He is survived by his beloved wife, the love of his life Lillie (Liz) Martin. His loved children; Randy, Tony, Stacey, Bobby, Aaron, Victoria, Brenda, his cherished many grandchildren; his brothers Larry, Bobby and his sister Mary. All knowing Bob will be waiting to reunite with them in Heaven.
We thank everyone for their love, prayers and thoughts during this time and ask you all to join us in celebrating this incredible Man of God. We will be having a viewing at Keith and Keith Funeral Home in Yakima, WA on October 30th from 1600 till 1900. We will be laying him to rest with his parents and brothers at West Hills Memorial Park on his beloved Brother’s birthday October 31st at 1230. After the service we will be having a remembrance gathering at Wiley Union Church where desserts and refreshments will be served.
