It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sergio Rios, a beloved partner, devoted father, cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend. His greatest accomplishment and proudest role in life was being a father.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 14 years, Priscilla Noriega, and their beloved son and daughter, Sergio Rios and Abrileya Rios, along with the precious baby they were joyfully expecting. Becoming a father again filled his heart with excitement, and he looked forward to welcoming their newest blessing with endless love and anticipation.
To those who knew him, it was clear that his family was the center of his world. For the past three years, he proudly coached his son’s football team, not because he had to, but because there was nowhere else he would rather be. Whether he was on the football field, cheering from the sidelines at jiu-jitsu tournaments for both of his kids, attending the father daughter dance with his daughter, attending practices, or simply spending time together, he made sure his children always knew they were loved, supported, and never alone.
He was a devoted partner who stood faithfully beside Priscilla through every season of life. Their 14 years together were built on love, laughter, and unwavering commitment. He was her greatest supporter and best friend.
His love extended far beyond his own home. Sergio treasured every moment spent with his nephews, David Hurtado, Jr. Hurtado, and Noel Rios Jr.; his nieces, Daisy Hurtado, Janette, Gaby Rios, and Noemar Rios; his many cousins, including Tano Lugo, Andre Ortega, Jordan Ortega, Efrain Ortega, Julio, Lizzy, Lexia, Valente, Julixa, Anahi, Baby David, Angel, Issac, Ariel, Emma, Nancy, Erika, Amy, Alberto, Miguel, Mayito, Eric, Pepito, Oscar, Jacsan, Myra, and friends. Whether sharing laughter, offering guidance, or creating lifelong memories, he made everyone around him feel loved and valued.
He was a devoted son who loved his mother, Maria Dolores Rios, with all his heart. He was also a caring and loyal brother to Maria Hurtado, Noel Rios, and Esmeralda Rios, always someone his family could depend on through both joyful and difficult times.
Sergio will forever be remembered for his humble spirit, compassionate heart, and selfless nature. He never judged others. Instead, he chose kindness, always believing in the good in people. He gave thoughtful advice, listened without criticism, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His generosity, wisdom, and quiet strength touched countless lives and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Although his time with us was far too short, the love he gave so freely will continue to live on in his family, his friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy is one of unconditional love, service, kindness, and devotion to family.
He will be deeply missed every day but forever remembered with love, gratitude, and pride. His spirit will continue to guide those he loved, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our hero.
