Steven Arthur Davie

Born on January 3, 1947 in Sunnyside, Washington, Steven grew into the kind of man whose presence made others feel safe, loved and appreciated. After graduating, he answered the call to serve his country, joining the Coast Guard, where he was stationed at the Five Finger Lighthouse in Alaska. His service remained a point of deep pride throughout his life.

Of all his accomplishments, nothing meant more to him than being a father. Raising his three sons— Jeffrey Davie, Michael Davie and Brian Davie—was his life’s greatest joy. He taught us how to live with dignity, with kindness, hard work and how to meet life’s uncertainties with both strength and humor.

Steven had a giving soul. He showed up—for friends, for neighbors, for anyone who needed a hand. He believed that loyalty wasn’t something you claimed; it was something you lived. Those lucky enough to know him always knew they could count on him, whether for a heartfelt conversation or a laugh that arrived exactly when it was needed most. He had a gift for telling the kind of jokes that linger—funny, warm, and offered with a twinkle in his eye.

He is survived by his three sons, Jeffrey Davie (Amber Davie), Michael Davie (Katya Rubinow), and Brian Davie; his siblings, Norma Provost, William Davie and Cindi Davie Pinnell; and many loving grandchildren and a wide community of friends who cherished him. He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Fulton Davie and his mother, Louise Davie.

Though his absence leaves a deep ache, the legacy he leaves—of love, integrity, humor, and steadfastness—will continue to guide those who loved him. His story lives on in the boys he raised and in all the lives he generously touched.

A visitation will be held on December 4, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Keith & Keith Funeral Home, located at 902 West Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA, 98902, United States.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Zillah Cemetery.
