
Thelma was born October 4, 1910 in Gore, OK to Macon and Bessie Rudick. After marrying Lewis M. Hoppis, they moved to Yakima in 1943.
She enjoyed raising her one daughter and 4 sons, attending the local Baptist Church and also was a warehouse packer for several years. Thelma enjoyed fishing and camping with her family and friends.
Thelma enjoyed the grand party of celebrating her 100th birthday last year surrounded by those who meant so much to her and who loved her!
She is survived by a daughter, Doris (and husband Cliff) Hagemeier of Yakima, and sons Lewis Hoppis of Yuma, AZ, Bernell Hoppis of Pousbo, WA and Jeaureld and Fred Hoppis both of Yakima. Also surviving her are several grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis and two sons, Earl C. and Eugene A. Hoppis.
Visitation will be held from 12-4 pm Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012 at the Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2012 also at the Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. A private burial will be held at West Hills Memorial Park.
