Vernis Mary Anna Carlson

Mrs. Carlson was educated in Wapato and graduated from Wapato High School in 1940. She was married to Rienhold Rutz from 1943 to 1951. On July 15, 1961, she married Allan E. Carlson. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Carlson worked at Sears Roebuck from 1951 to 1961. She was a member of Wiley Heights Covenant Church. Mrs. Carlson enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband. She also enjoyed reading, sewing and knitting. She looked forward to meeting with her friends in their Tuesday coffee group and socializing with her friends at church.

Mrs. Carlson is survived by her two sons and their wives, John and Shirley Rutz of Port Angeles, Ron and Rosie Rutz of Yakima; two grandsons, John A. Rutz and Sean (Lily) Rutz and two great grandchildren, John David Rutz and Anastacia Rosalva Rutz.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Allan, Carlson, her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
