Victoria Jean Heide Kerrigan age 77 of Yakima, passed away on June 16, 2024. She was born on October 12, 1946 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Elmer and Nellie (Smith) Heide. Victoria married Edward Kerrigan on September 23, 1967.
She attended Wapato High School and Trend Business College. She was a telephone operator for many years. Victoria enjoyed being with her family. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting and embroidery, hobbies she gave up years ago. Victoria was an avid reader, mostly crime novels. Ann Rule was her favorite author. Her favorite poet was Helen Steiner Rice. As children we all loved her baked “Cinnamon Bubbles”.
Victoria is survived by her husband of 57 years, Edward Kerrigan, her four children; Roberta (Gus) Chavers of Puyallup, Julie (Darald) Landsiedel of Yakima, Wes (Marla) Kerrigan of Kansas and Vince (Lea) Kerrigan of Yakima. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Heather (family) , Alex (family), Sonny , Christopher, Mathew (family), Jake, Raina, Fallon (family), Auberry (family), Malissa , Miranda (family), Melinda (family) and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Randy and John Heide, her sisters Cindy Heide and Lacie Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Nellie Heide, her brother Doug and her sister Lynda.
A time for final visitation will be held on Friday July 5, 2024 at Keith and Keith Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Graveside services will be on Saturday July 6, 2024 at 9:00 at Terrace Height Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made in Victoria’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, a cause that was very important to her.
