

Yakima- On March 17, 2012 Vonda Jean Willis Schoettler passed away at the age of 33 at home. She had been a longtime resident of Selah and graduated from Selah High School. In 1991 Vonda met the love of her life, Dan Schoettler and they had their first son Chance in 1995 followed by a second son, Collin who was born in 2001.
Vonda enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, fishing and hunting with her boys. She was the biggest supporter of their sports and school activities. Vonda had a passion for photography; she loved to take pictures of all her family outings. She loved her dogs Jax, Olive and Cinder as well as the family cats, Einstein and Pepper.
Vonda is survived by her loving husband Dan, her sons Chance and Collin all of the family home in Selah, mother Char of Selah, father Gene and Jan of Grant’s Pass OR, mothers and fathers-in-law, Sherrie and William of Selah, Paul and Cheryl of Liberty Lake, WA, sisters Paula (Tim) of Moxee and Carla (Mike) of Yakima, brothers Charlie (Amy) of Newman Lake, WA and Don of Spokane, sister-in-law Stacee (Mike) of Panama, brothers-in-law Michael (Tawny) of Santa Rosa, CA, Jay (Jodi) of Selah, Grandma Bette of Yakima,nieces Ashley, Aubry, Hailee, Cayla, Sarah, Audrey, Emily, Isabelle, Kathleen, Jordan, Chelsea, Hailey, LilliiAnna and Vivviianna, nephews Evan, Benjamin, Braden, Joshiwa, Zachariah and Ethan and her lifelong friends Jodi of Elma, WA and Christina of Arizona.
Vonda’s smile and laughter will always remain with all of us, “She was always finding pennies from heaven.”…… Never Forgotten, Always Missed and Always in our Hearts."
Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, March 22, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:30 at the Selah Civic Center located at 216 South First St. At the family's request, please dress in casual attire.
