Wilhelmina (Willy) Ibrahim 1939 - 2026 We called her mama. Her grandkids called her Nana. Her students at the Montessori school called her Teacher Willy. Many called her friend. She went to be with Dad (Faik Ibrahim), who passed on September 11, 2025.
Willy was born in the Netherlands on December 8, 1939. Mom and Dad met in the Netherlands, after a short courtship they married and left for Baghdad after having their first child (Lowy) they went back to the Netherlands where they had their second child (Susan) and back to Iraq where they had their third child (Rafiq) and back again to the Netherlands. After several years there the family moved to Yakima where we have finally settled down.
Mama lived a great and exciting life with Dad for 68 years. Mama is now with Papa and her son who passed in 1975. Mama is survived by her children Susan (Richard) Keefe, Rafiq (Vickie) Ibrahim, grandchildren Killy Keefe, Tyler (Brandi) Keefe, Blake Ibrahim, Bryce Ibrahim, great grandson Zane Keefe and her two sisters Puck Putney and Cisca van Heezik (Tim) Rogan, and many friends all around the world!
