

On June 12, 2011, Yecenia Guerrero was granted her angel wings. She was born in Yakima, WA on Feb. 8, 1987.
Yecenia graduated from Davis High School in 2005 and went onto graduate from the University of Washington in 2011; where she majored in Spanish, minored in sociology and education. She moved back to Yakima and worked at McClure Elementary school. Yecenia had many plans and goals to accomplish, but her life was cut short. Those who knew her knew she had a big heart. Her beautiful smile would light any room. She touched many lives; she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. Yecenia also loved spending time with her family. Her future plans were to marry her fiancé Salvador Castillo in January 2012. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and she will remain in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her mother Gloria Izazaga of Yakima; her father Miguel Guerrero of Mexico; two sisters, Diana Ibarra of Yakima, Aideth Hernandez of Bellingham, WA; brother, Miguel Angel Guerrero of Yakima and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday June 23, 2011 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
