Lived next to the Hendry’s since the 1960’s.  Still own the home, but live in Texas now.  On a visit last summer I popped back to discuss trimming a tree on a property line with Alice who was full of vigor and remarked that she remembered both me and of course my sister, Margaret, who still resides in the Falmouth home.  I was so pleased to see her and that she was alert and happy.  My condolences to the family and particularly Bobby, with whom I spent many days roaming as children in the (now protected) Underwood Forest.

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Alice.   We have know Alice for many years, thinking it was 1970 or so.  Our late sister Concetta Maiorano went to work for Drs. Monaghan and Leonard as an xray technician and worked for many years with Alice.  They were not only work mates but long term friends. On many occasions outside of work they enjoyed each others company whether it was a play, out to dinner or a day trip shopping and especially the long conversations they had over the telephone.  
May she rest in peace.

My memories: I have many of this wonderful lady. She is the Grand mother and Great grand mother to my children and grandchildren. I met Alice as a teenager and I just liked her she loved people as did I. She extened a warm welcoming hug everytime I saw her, she was just a gracious host . I visited her with both the grandchildren and greatgrand chldren. She always loved having  us, her joy showed for each of them. Never heard an unkind word from her, always knew she liked me . She never said no to Bob about lending me  her vehicle to go get  him and bring him home from Unity College .Even if we had to get him back by Sunday. Many Thanksgivings and Christmases she made very special for us. She even worked around all the schedules so we could be present. Easter was always a new beginning. Rebecka her first Granddaughter would be the Easter Christening  baby in 1979,at The Falmouth Episcopalian Churh. I remeber her request she was so excited.
   Always thought she was more then caring she was a loving Mom, Mother inlaw, and friend. I have been Blessed knowing her. May the mansions of heaven open there doors for  surly This shall be her home.

Alice was Monaghan and Leonard's x-ray tech for what seemed like a hundred years.  She was wonderful with patients as well to us.  When I closed my office in 1985  and went to a new location she went with me but said that if I ever got a computer she would quit.  Eventually  I got a computer and also a  FAX but she stayed. She conquered them both, loved them both and stayed with me until I closed that office in 1996.   She was perfect.

I grew up with the Hendry family. My mother and Alice were friends. Mrs. Hendry was a very sweet woman who loved people and life and had a great sense of humor.   After being away for 20 years I returned for my father’s funeral and visited with Mrs. Hendry.  When she greeted me at the door I jokingly asked if I could mow her lawn to which she replied that she didn’t need it mowed. At this point I knew she didn’t recognize me, that’s when I told her who I was and we both had a good laugh. She was very kind and showed lots of patience with Bob and me. I will always remember her smile.  Sending condolences to all.
