Barbara Jean Odom Haight

Portland, Maine-Barbara Odom Haight died April 1, 2016 at Maine Medical Center, Portland. Barbara was born in Woburn Massachusetts on July 7, 1925. She grew up in Woburn and married her husband Elmer G. (Gil) Haight on June 1, 1946. They resided in Woburn until moving to Millinocket, Maine in 1952. After retiring from Great Norther Paper Company they moved to Yarmouth in 1988.

Since moving to Yarmouth Barbara has logged 10,941 volunteer hours at Maine Medical Center and would have been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the upcoming National Volunteer Week award ceremony at Maine Medical Center

Barbara was predeceased by her son William G. Haight and her husband. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Wedge of Rockport, ME, her son Robert Haight of Oxford, ME, her son Stephen Haight of Warren, ME, grandchildren Kellie Wedge of Rockport, ME, Leonard Wedge of Warren, ME, Alexander Henri of Atlanta, GA and Austin Haight of New Rochelle, NY, great-grandchildren Zachary Wedge, Chelsea Wedge, Tyler Wedge and Ander Gill Haight, and great-great grandchildren Kimmy Wedge and Elijah Brackett. .

Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Barbara’s Life on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Lindquist Funeral Home,
