Born on August 23, 1950, in Brunswick, ME, to Ormond M. Trask Sr. and Rhea Adams, she graduated from Biddeford High School and Southern Maine Vocational Technical College. Beverly married her love, David True, on November 6, 1976, at the First Parish Congregational Church in Yarmouth, ME, where they continued to live and raise their family.
Beverly was well known for her quilting; she was a passionate and talented artist. Within her lifetime, she made thousands of quilts to share, donating many to veterans' homes in Maine, foster programs, children's hospitals, and the Dempsey Center in Lewiston. As a member of the "Heartstrings" quilting group, she hosted annual retreats to create quilts for donation. She loved this community deeply and formed many lifelong friendships. When she wasn't quilting, she enjoyed knitting hats for fellow cancer patients.
A devoted public servant, Beverly was a lifelong member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Anderson Mayberry American Legion Post 91, serving as president for 10 years. She also volunteered as a paramedic with Yarmouth Rescue for 20 years, highly respected as R-19. She supported the Freeport Police and Fire Department as their Public Service Dispatcher until her retirement.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, David True; her three daughters and son-in-law, Pami & Ron Terren of Milford, NH, Kristy Morin of Lewiston, ME, and Carrie Morin of Orlando, FL; six grandchildren, Joel DiPietro and his wife Sophie, Joshua Sullivan, Brianna Girardin and her fiancé Patrick Ivers, Rosemary Terren, Matthew Terren, and Jacob True; and one great-grandson, Vincent DiPietro. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, her beloved animals, Boomer and Goober, and countless dear friends.
Beverly was predeceased by her parents, her brothers, Bobby and Bud, and her sister, Betty.
Family and friends are invited to honor Beverly during visiting hours on April 15, 2026, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth, ME. A private burial will be held at a later date.
The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the staff at Northern Light Mercy Hospital Oncology and Infusion Center and Northern Light Home Care & Hospice for their compassionate care. They are truly angels among us.
Donations may be made in Beverly's memory to the Anderson Mayberry American Legion Post 91, PO Box 113, Yarmouth, ME 04096.
