Bradford Harris Strout

Pownal - Bradford Harris Strout, 66, died Wednesday, June 3rd 2015, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Portland on Sept. 20th, 1948, a son of Merlin and Priscilla Ferguson Strout. Brad and his family enjoyed life on the farm, growing much of the family's food in their gardens. He attended North Yarmouth and Greely High School.

Brad was a Veteran serving 3 years in the Army; he worked as a mason and was retiring from Bath Iron Works. He made many friendships with the people he worked with.

Brad was a reserved man who loved spending time with his family, whether it was swimming at Sabbathday or Sebago Lake, or in the family swimming pool. Brad enjoyed the outdoors, boating, fishing, snowmobiling, archery and just spending time with the people he loved. He always loved motorcycling, and enjoyed touring around last summer on his new Spider three wheeler. A fond memory of his was seeing Jimmy Hendrix in concert as a young man.

He is survived by his six children: Carrie Nason of North Yarmouth, Jill Sanborn of Brewer, Kristina Strout of Harpswell, Missy Walsh Innes of Yarmouth, Michelle Strout of Durham and Bejay Strout of California; his sister, Gail Clark of St. Petersburg; his brother Bruce Strout of Yarmouth; his sister Brenda Mower of Auburn and eleven grandchildren: Clare, McKaila, Molly, Sadie, Sophie, Alex, Devon, Dominik, Joshua, Jacob and Trevor.
