Born in Arlington Virginia to Mathew Russo and Edna Wilson; she attended Virginia schools. She married Andrew Spekke in January of 1970.
Claudia enjoyed music and food of all flavors; exposing and instilling these pleasures in her children and friends.
Claudia was appreciated in all social settings; genuinely at ease and uniquely herself, unpretentiously.

She was predeceased by her parents, and is survived by her husband, Andrew Spekke Sr. and brother Leslie, her children Andrew and Aleksandra, and her Grandchildren Hadley and Romeo.
