Cole Bjorn Cassidy
February 24, 1994 – August 11, 2019
Florida - Cole Cassidy, 25, died August 11, 2019 after a 6-year struggle with addiction. Cole was born Feb 24, 1994 in Augusta, Maine to Kevin F and Susan (Lundquist) Cassidy. He attended schools in Pittston and Durham, Maine; graduating from Freeport High School in 2012.
Cole had a love for hunting, fishing and photography, spending many hours in the outdoors doing all three. He was bright, funny, had a creative mind and a kind spirit. Cole’s vision was to become a professional photographer and he was growing his client list at Cole Cassidy Photography. At the time of his death, he was living and working in Stuart, Florida, but had planned to move back home to Maine on August 17th.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Kevin and Karen Cassidy of Durham; sister Sommer Cassidy; half-sisters Noelle and Grace Carroll of Wilmington, Delaware; stepbrother Christopher Gendron of Portland; stepsister Kelly Gendron of Saco; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. Cole was preceded in death by his mother, Susan and his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Ellen Cassidy.

So sorry for your loss, This epidemic is so heart wrenching, My boy will have been gone 2 years Oct. 3rd. I for one, would like to Thank You, for not hiding what took your beloved son, it is one step toward awareness of this terrible addiction that affects way too many of our young people, You are brave and wonderful. I wish I had words for you at this point, but there truly are none at this time. You are not alone in this fight, Operation Hope, is wonderful!!! Please always remember, he was not an addict due to lack of love, or parenting.. Sending strength and Angels to watch over you through this very hard and sad time.. We are so sorry for your loss. Prayers to the family at this very difficult time.
Coming from a family who has gone through the very same pain. Our son was our one and only child we lost Cory in 2015 and it still hurts 😢 Hopefully the more we talk about the problem someday I hope it will save someone’s life!
