Falmouth - EUGENE BRADFORD PARKER, 84, died unexpectedly in his home with his wife by his side. He was born July 30, 1926 in South Portland the son of Delwin Parker and Lena Winslow Ellis. He resided in Falmouth his entire life, growing up on his grandparent's farm and then creating his own homestead on Woods Road with his loving wife of 62 years.
He was a WWII veteran and worked as a carpenter the majority of his life. In later years, he worked for Maine Cement and Durastone Steps as a form maker. He enjoyed the camaraderie with the "guys" working until his late 70s. His amazing work ethic and principles defined him and gave him great joy and satisfaction.
He cleared logs for his homestead with his team of horses, Amos and Andy, who remained dear to his heart his whole life. He owned a variety of farm animals, primarily horses. He thoroughly enjoyed cutting hay and being on his tractors.
Of recent years, he enjoyed four-wheeling and was a member of the Lake Region ATV Club. His favorite place to go was Coos Canyon, Byron, Maine where he and his wife would venture off as much as possible right up until the end of his life.
He also was a great supporter of the Falmouth High School Basketball teams. He and his wife hardly missed a game in 25 years and he was proud to be honored at the end-of-season girls' game last year.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, his sister Arlene Johnson, his grandson Daniel Josephs, and his great-grandson Parker Jensen.
He is survived by his wife, Albertine (Tina) Foster Parker, his daughter Lois and her husband William (Bill) Roy; his daughter Ellen and her husband Jeffery Josephs; grandchildren: William (Jr.), Stephen, Kevin Roy; Rebecca Roy Fredericks, Christie Roy Jensen, and their families; and Kathryn, Bethany, Megan, Hannah Josephs.
