Frank H. Peabbles III

Bowdoinham - Frank H. Peabbles III, 81 years old, of Bowdoinham, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011, in his sleep. He was born on the Peabbles farm in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, on May 2, 1930.

Trapper, dancer, duck hunter, class dodger; sunsets on Little River Island, CB radio, "Roger, roger." On Big Lake, reading compasses at night; on Grand Lake Stream, fly man's delight. LR Island, with 100 feet of ice, the weather cube reports all is nice. Mr. X, Poppy, BF, Pops; nectar of the gods, black dogs, and stocks. Don, Vaughan, and Dana, sunrise eider; back to the shanty, everything's all right-ah. So . . . Herm and Joe never left the farm; they grew to 81 doing nature no harm. They told many stories, of thieves and sailors, some crushers, some lovers, some midnight saviors. One foot in heaven followed by another, may he rest there forever with his children's mother.

His wife and children's mother, Isabel C. Montecalvo; his children, Frank, Leonard, Greg, and Lisa; his grandchildren, Jim, Mike, Keegan, Eloise, and Daniel; great-grandchildren Connor and Kaitlyn; his brother Lawrence; and his beloved sister-in-law JoJo Montecalvo.

A time of gathering and visitation will be held on Tuesday July 26, 2011 from 5 to 7 PM with a brief memorial service at 7:00 PM at Lindquist Funeral Home, One Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth.
