

She attended school at Morden Manitoba graduating in 1944. She attended the Winnipeg general hospital school of nursing. Graduating as a registered nurse in 1948. She served on the staff at Winnipeg General Hospital until her marriage to Murray G. Klages in 1951. They resided in North Dakota until 1952 while her husband attended graduate school at Perdue University. She worked at the student health infirmary.
They moved to Bozeman Mt. in 1955 and lived there until 2019 when she moved to Maine. While in Bozeman she was employed by Dr’s Sipple and Vissce, and later by medical associates of Bozeman. She attended Montana State University from 1969-1972 as a part time student. She retired from nursing at Medical Associates in 1987 and has been involved in various kinds of volunteer work since that time. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church of Bozeman, MT, she was a long time member of Valley View golf club and she liked to play bridge and golf. She loved all animals with a special affection for dogs.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Murray. She is survived by her son Jonathan Klages and her daughter in-law Diane Klages. She has two grandchildren Jonathan and Amber, five great grandchildren, Sheila, Hallie, Bo, Gordon and Emilia. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Howard, Murray, and Lawrence.
Memorials may be given to First Lutheran Church of Bozeman or the humane society.
