

Yarmouth – Montgomery Lane Yale, 73, passed away at Maine Medical Center from complications due to cancer on Monday morning, with his loving family by his side.
Monty was born March 26, 1940, in Providence, Rhode Island to O. Sherman Yale and Marjorie Montgomery. His family moved to Yarmouth in 1954, where he attended schools and lived for the rest of his life. He was a 1959 graduate of North Yarmouth Academy and attended the University of Southern Maine. Monty married Pamela Daniells in 1958. Together they raised their family in Yarmouth, Maine.
He owned and operated several businesses over the years in Scarborough and Yarmouth along with Commercial properties. Monty, along with his sons, was a longtime member of the Portland Yacht Club. Monty was a man who loved life, loved his cars, boats, hunting and fishing, but most importantly, he loved sharing it all with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Pamela, of 55 years, their daughter Joanne Lowenthal and husband Lee of Pompano Beach, FL; son Christopher and his wife Trish of Cumberland; Chris’s children Cassie and Tom; son “Skip” and his wife Wendy of Yarmouth and their children Megan and Sandy; Monty’s brother, Tom Yale and his wife Debrah of Boothbay Harbor. He was predeceased by his parents.
Arrangements are by Lindquist Funeral Home, One Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth, Maine. A Celebration of his Life is planned for Monday, August 26, 2013 . The celebration will be held from 4 to 7 pm at the Portland Yacht Club, Old Power House Road in Falmouth. A private burial will be held prior to the celebration of his life.
