Nicholas James Leighton proudly served in the US Air Force from July 8,1961 to May 28, 1965, achieving the rank of Airman First Class, E-4. He served as a GND COMM EQP RPMN and stationed at Limestone Maine and Greenland.
Nicholas loved to spend time in his garden, taking walks in the woods, hunting whitetail deer and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by son Christian Leighton, son Matthew Leighton wife Kathleen Leighton, grandson Brody Leighton, brother Jeffrey, two sisters Romano Tupper and Lydia Englebert and many nieces and nephews. Nicholas was married to Linda Diann Aubens from December 18, 1971 to January 1, 2003.
A celebration of Nicholas's life will be held this September with friends and family to attend, time and location to be decided at a later date.
