October 9, 1943 – April 2, 2025
Phyllis Anne Page, 81, of Cumberland, Maine and Winter Haven, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, in Winter Haven. Born in Biddeford, Maine, on October 9, 1943, Phyllis dedicated her life to the service of others through education, compassion, and strength.
A lifelong educator, Phyllis spent her entire teaching career with Portland Public Schools, where she taught high school business and accounting. She was known for her unwavering dedication to her students, always striving to help them succeed both in the classroom and in life.
Phyllis split her time between her homes in Cumberland, Maine; her beloved camp in Harrison, Maine; and her winter residence in Winter Haven, Florida. Wherever she was, her door was always open—whether to exchange students needing a home, family members in transition, or friends who needed a place to land.
She was kind, caring, and fiercely independent. She lived frugally but gave generously, and she never hesitated to help those in need. Phyllis had a passion for gardening, sewing, and soaking in the sun—often with a good book in hand.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Stanley Page; her son David; daughter Suanne; daughter-in-law Eri Page; granddaughters Sakura and Sumire Page; and her sisters Ruth Ramsey and Gloria Weir. Her love and strength will remain with them always.
A visiting hour will be held from 11 am - 12 pm on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth, where a memorial service will follow at 12 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis's memory may be made to the George C. Forsythe Hospice in Auburndale, Florida.
