

Portland- Robert Clifford Pfeffer, 89, passed away the morning of July 3, 2015 surrounded by his loving wife and family. The son of Roswell & Lillian (Bartlett) Pfeffer, he was born at home on Ocean Ave in Portland ME, on May 18, 1926. He grew up in Westbrook and moved to Falmouth in 1942. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1944 and served in WWII , stationed in Italy and California. After returning from the war he married the love of his life Christine Eames in September 1951. They settled in Falmouth to raise their four daughters. Bob volunteered at the Pleasant Hill Fire Department, coached little league, and was a member of the American Legion Post 0164 in Falmouth. Bob and Christine enjoyed many years of retirement in Florida.
He is survived by his wife Christine of 63 years, his daughters, Karen Neal and her husband Michael Wiehn, Terri Moore, and her husband Craig, Robyn Pfeffer, and Tena Twomey and her husband Dwayne, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, his two sisters Alice Fish, and Bee O’Brian and her husband Norman, his brother-in-law, Charles Eames and his wife Margie, and his sister-in-law Patricia McGlauflin. He was known to many as “Uncle Bob” and had many special nieces and nephews.
Bob was predeceased by his two sisters Isabella Knudsen, and Mary Falzone-Morris.
Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM. Interment will be at a later date in Blanchard Cemetery in Falmouth.
