Adeline DiSantis

Adeline was a 40yr old resident and parishioner of Christ the King.

Adeline or Adie was born December 20, 1922 in the Bronx, NY to Jennie and Stephen DeNaro. She was the youngest daughter of eleven and the last surviving member of five daughters and six sons in that family.

On May 5th, 1946, she married Anthony DiSantis and raised one son, Peter and one daughter, Janet.

Her career outside the home was highlighted with employment at the Dollar Savings Bank, Executive Dining Room, as the assistant cook. A position she held for 20 years. It was after her husband Anthony (Tony) passed away in 1987 that she studied for and obtained her New York State Driver’s License and high school GED.

Adeline is survived by her caring children Peter and Janet and son-in-law, Richard Surace, seven loving grandchildren and 13 adoring great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Saturday August 7th at 10am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
