Albert J. Figura

Albert J. Figura 85 passed away on May 30, 2014. Born on July 25, 1928 to Baltazar and Susan (Fecho) Figura in Yonkers. Albert worked over thirty years for Michael Harmany Corp. as a plumber. On August 18, 1956 he married Margaret Kuderna in Most Holy Trinity Church. Margaret survives. Albert was a very active parishioner at Most Holy Trinity Church and served on various committees. He also was the Financial Secretary of the First Catholic Slovak Union for over thirty years and served his country in the Army during the Korean conflict. Besides his wife Margaret, he is survived by his six children, Albert (Barbara), Joanne Fialkovic (Paul), John (Tricia), Edward (Denise), Robert (Maria) and Patricia Sciortino (Frank), thirteen grandchildren, Paul, Richard, Matthew, Mary, Joseph, Frank Julie, Alicia, Suzanne, Katie, Anthony, Christopher and Christina, and five great-grandchildren Lily, Richard, Alexander, Luke and Nikolai. Albert was predeceased by his seven siblings. Visiting will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday, June 1st from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, June 2nd at Most Holy Trinity Church at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Albert’s name to Pastoral Care Department at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, 127 South Broadway, Yonkers, New York 10701 Attn: Sr. Ellen O’Conner.
