Alice W. Lockhart

Alice was a dedicated daughter to her late parents, Innis Davis Sr. and Florence Davis. She was born and raised in Yonkers, NY where she attended Commerce High School.

As a teenage girl Alice went to work for Purdue Frederick Company. Alice worked hard and was ambitious. She was the first to rise in the ranks without a college degree and become a department head, Director of R&D Administration.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for over 25 years. Alice enjoyed traveling and traveled around the world seeing Spain, Portugal, India, Morocco, Nepal, Italy, France and host of other countries. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, William T. Lockhart and one brother, Frederick Davis.

She is survived by her daughter Colleen Marie Lockhart and son Marcus Anson Lockhart. Brothers Innis Davis Jr. and Rupert Eric Davis Sr.. Sisters Elaine Davis, Sheila Davis, Claudia Ramey and Lenore Soto. Sister-in-law Frances Keene and Brother-in-law John Charles Lockhart.

Alice lived for her family, especially her grandchildren Dontay Young, Lauren Young and Reginald Leonard. Her step-grandchildren Robert Farrell, Tatiana Leonard and Aaliyah Farrell.

Alice had a host of family that she poured love and kindness into. Nieces Alicia Davis, Regina Keene, Reina Soto, Ingrid Grier, Isabel Soto, Chandra Davis (Tagata). Nephews Trevor Davis, Rupert Eric Davis Jr., Jeremy Lockhart, Anthony Phillips, Stephen Phillips, Frederick Davis Jr., Cousins Johnny Mae Melton, Quaneisha Melton and Isaias Melton. Dearest friend John Peaks Jr. and host of other close family and friends.

Alice was cherished by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her love, kindness and generosity. She was a great soul that will never die but live on forever in our hearts.

Visiting hours will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, located at 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703, on Thursday September 11, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 56-60 Mulberry St, Yonkers, NY 10701, on Friday September 12, 2025, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.
