Amelia BOSQUE

Amelia Bosque, 83, of Yonkers, passed away May 8, 2022, at home with family by her side. She was born on March 24, 1939, in Manati, Puerto Rico to the late Roman and Maria Martinez. She moved to Yonkers in the 1960’s where she met the love of her life Natali Bosque and married on May 25, 1968. She is survived by her husband Natali Bosque of Yonkers, her children: Damaris Knippel of Brookfield, Ct; Neftali Bosque Jr. of Greentown, Pa; and Rolando Bosque of Yonkers. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Robert Jr., Sophia, Lucas, Lilianna and Madison. Amelia was a loving, supportive wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and generally amazing person. She was a mother to many of her children’s friends as well as the kids she babysat. Her heart had no boundaries. All were welcome in her home and table. She cared about everyone. Everyone was greeted with love and commonly a meal at her table. She loved feeding everyone and very few refused. Her hands were blessed. Amelia was always the life of the party. Laughing, joking, playing pranks and had a complete love for life. She was always happy and funny with a burst or energy. She didn’t mind laughing at herself if you were laughing with her. Her kindness and love will be sorely missed by all. A visitation for Amelia will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703. A mass of christian burial will occur Monday, May 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, 103 S. Broadway, Yonkers, NY 10701. An interment will occur Monday, May 16, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 50 Jackson Ave, Hastings on Hudson, NY 10706.
