Amelia M. Warian

Amelia M Warian of Yonkers died on Saturday March 15, 2014 at age 92. She was born on April 25, 1921 in Ansonia, Ct. to Nicholas and Katherine Yacawy Warian. Amelia moved to Yonkers where she was raised and attended local schools. She was a retired Administrative Assistant for Westchester County. Amelia was active in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Pisarchik, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Peter Warian and her sisters Mary Wesson, Julia Warian, Rose Hlushko and Helen Tomaszewski. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday March 18th at 10am in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Amelia’s name to St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church 21 Shonnard Place, Yonkers, NY 10703.
