Angela “Angie” Crafton, born on April 3, 1965 in Kings County, New York, to Robert Crafton Jr and Margaret Crafton. Angie was the youngest of three children and she grew up in Brooklyn with her Father, Mother, sister (Lorriane) and brother (Robert III).
Growing up, Angie was no stranger to illness and the challenges it brought throughout her childhood. Nevertheless, GOD would always place the right people at the right time, to care for her and to even take a stand for her when she needed it most! Angie’s sister Lorriane was one of those people who lovingly cared for her throughout her life and especially in her last days. But GOD provided others as well. There was this one time in particular, in Angie’s childhood when she would meet two girls who took a stand for her!!
Sharon and Lowie… These girls stepped in on game of jump rope and ensured Angie would also get a fair turn in the game!! Especially since the jump rope was hers to begin with!! From that day on… Sharon and Lowie became like sisters to Angie and would remain life long friends even to this day.
Angie was a devoted and loving Mother to her two sons and daughter in-loves. Dwayne her eldest son and his wife Sencia and Daniel and his wife Teresa. Known affectionately as (NuNu) she was a proud Grandmother to Seven Grandchildren: Donte,
Camron, Arian, Daniel Jr, Evan, Savannah and Rafael…
each of whom brought her joy, all in their own special ways.
As a beloved Sister and Auntie, Angie’s warmth extended throughout her whole family. She was a guiding presence or as it is known in the family an Auntie-Mommy to her eight nieces and
nephews. Shaunte, Justin, Evelyn, Jason, Joshua, Shneira, April and Isaiah.
Angie was dedicated to her profession and enjoyed a successful career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (MSW, LCSW) at the Bronx VA Hospital, where she proudly served U.S. Veterans with compassion, respect, and unwavering commitment. After many years of outstanding service, she retired in 2015.
Retirement marked a new and fulfilling chapter for Angie. After nearly two decades in the Bronx, she sold her longtime home and in 2021, she embraced a fresh start in South Carolina.
Where she continued to enjoy life, her family, and well-earned peace.
On a FB post Angie wrote… “Retirement Goal #1 - Strengthen my relationship with the Lord…” and she did just that!!
Angie’s relationship with her Lord and Savior grew and She was Strengthened!! Angie was always a warm and loving woman but it wasn’t until she committed her life to the Lord that she realized her own value in Jesus Christ. A precious daughter of the Most High!
Angie’s legacy is one of love, strength, dedication, and generosity—a life lived with purpose and a heart that touched all who knew her.
Angie passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 22, 2025, at the age of 60.
I know Angie’s Prayer to GOD would’ve been for anyone who took the time to read her obituary to be Saved, because Salvation is for everyone!!! “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God,
and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord
will be saved.”
Romans 10:9-11, 13 NLT
