Angelina DeBonis Polloni, 87, a longtime resident of Yonkers, was born in Manhattan and passed peacefully in her sleep in Fort Myers, with her son and daughter by her side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Angelina was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank Polloni, the love of her life. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Dina Weiss; her son, Manny Polloni, and his wife, Rosanna; and her cherished grandchildren: Frank Montero and his wife, Arielle; Amanda Milevski and her husband, Cristian; Garret Weiss and his wife, Emma; Shane Weiss; and Christopher Polloni.
Angelina grew up in Greenwich Village, where she met and married Frank, beginning a lifelong love story rooted in devotion and family. For 54 years, Angelina shared a home filled with love and family alongside her sister, Carmela Gillman. She had a vibrant spirit—always the first on the dance floor and the last to leave. She treasured many joyful years with her companion, John DiSanto, enjoying time with friends on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, as well as memorable trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
A devoted Catholic, Angelina practiced her faith at Christ the King Church and later at St. Anthony's Church. She was the rock of her family—a source of unwavering love, strength, and humor. Her quick wit and warm heart will live on in all who knew and loved her.
