Ann Veronica Davis

Ann Veronica Davis (nee Tremble), a longtime resident of Yonkers died of natural causes on Tuesday November 22, 2016 at Wingate of Dutchess County in Fishkill. She was 93 years old. She was born on April 27, 1923 to Phillip and Mary Burke Tremble in Yonkers where she was raised and educated. Mrs. Davis was a secretary for GHI New York for many years until her retirement on December 31, 1990. She was a longtime parishioner of Christ the King Church and she belonged to the Bridge Club and the Widows Club at Sacred Heart Church. On June 13, 1947, she married her loving husband, Frank J. Davis in Yonkers. Mr. Davis died in 1974. She is survived by her nieces, Mary Ellen Donovan and her husband Tim, Patricia Worthington and her husband Bob, Mary Catherine Kuck, Catherine Patinella and her husband Anthony, Rita Lasisse and Judy Flaherty and a nephew Jim Mahoney and Jeannette. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and eleven great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, William and James Tremble and two sisters, Rita Sonenberg and Catherine Mahoney. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Saturday 8:30 to 9:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Saturday November 26th at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
