Ann Tokar (born Havlir), a longtime Yonkers resident, died on Sunday September 6, 2015 at St. John’s Riverside Hospital. She was 77 years old. She was born on April 16, 1938 to John and Mary Dvorova Havlir in Zamutov, Czechoslovakia. She came to New York in 1947 and graduated from Commerce High School in 1956. Mrs. Tokar worked at St. John’s Riverside Hospital as a medical biller for over thirty years until her retirement in July 2013. She married John Tokar in 1968. She is survived by one son, John P. Tokar of Yonkers, one brother, John M. Havlir of Yonkers and one sister, Mary Havlir also of Yonkers. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday September 11th from 9:30 to 11:30am with the funeral service to take place at 11:30am. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
