Anne Anderson

Anne Anderson (nee Quinn) of Yonkers died on Monday February 29, 2016 at age 94. She was born on February 1, 1922 to John P. and Anne (Dalton) Quinn in the Bronx, where she was raised and educated. On October 10, 1942 she married John Anderson in the Bronx, he died in 1989. Mrs. Anderson was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She also loved her knitting and was an avid bowler at both the Elmsford and Brunswick Lanes. However the love of her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Anne is survived by her 4 daughters; Eileen Ormond, Kathleen Kuhnel, Rita Hamilton (Robert) and Meg Fitzgerald (Mitch). She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 13+ great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson Eric John Fitzgerald and her sister Catherine Lyons and her brother John P. Quinn. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday March 3rd from 7-9pm and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Saturday March 5th at 9:30am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 1 St. Jude’s Way, Memphis, Tenn.
