Betty Jean Bailey

Betty was born to parents Mercedes and Cornelius in Paincourtville, Louisiana on June 14, 1946.

Betty was a teacher for over 40 years, and enriched many students with knowledge and joy. She was dedicated to providing them with a stellar education that would carry them throughout their schooling.

Betty enjoyed reading, writing, singing, and spending time with her family. She loved God, and donated often to people in need.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Bailey, her three sons, Robert, Mark and Michael Bailey and her cherished grandchildren, Shannon, Jaeron, Rhianna, Ava and Raven Bailey.

Betty was a beloved mother, sister, wife, and friend. She touched many hearts and will be deeply missed.

Visiting Hours will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, on Friday March 27, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, New York 10703, on Friday March 27, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

Final Disposition will be private.
