Cesario D. Brito

Cesario was born on February 25, 1938, in Santo Crucifixo, Santo Antao Republic of Cabo Verde to Eugenio e Escolastica Brito.

On August 13th 1977 he married his beautiful wife Maria Brito in Portugal. In his early life, Cesario emigrate to Europe in search of a better future, where he became a Merchant Marine and traveled the calm and rough seas of the World and eventually settling down and raised a family in Yonkers.

Cesario Brito worked at Phelps Dutch in Yonkers, General Motors in Tarrytown and the United Nations in Manhattan where he eventually retired.

Cesario Brito is survived by his Wife Maria Brito, four sons: Orlando Cesario Brito, Cesario Brito Junior, Daniel Cesario Brito, Henry Cesario Brito and daughter-in-law Antonella Brito. Four grandkids: Vanessa Brito, Fiorina Brito, Isabel Brito and Raziel Brito and by one Great grandson; Noah Herisse.

Cesario Brito was a proud and hard-working man with a great family whom he adored very much. He had strong life values and was loved by all. Cesario Brito will be greatly missed by all.

Visiting Hours will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703 on Wednesday June 10, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Portuguese Church, 355 S Broadway, Yonkers, NY 10705 on Thursday June 11, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, 50 Jackson Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.
