On the morning of May 29, 2017, Christopher Benjamin DeVino passed away. He was just 30 years old and was taken far too young. All who knew him, knew he was a loving and warm-hearted son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend. He was born on May 18, 1987 at St. John's Hospital to parents he adored, Wendy and Glenn. Chris was a loving best friend and hero to his brother, Nicholas. He was a caring Teacher's Assistant, who helped many students within the NYC School System. A graduate of Fordham Preparatory School, he was a true Brother for Others. Chris was a true family man, who put all before himself. His appreciation for the small things in the world, like his love of NY Jets and Florida State Football or his extensive hat collection, was inspiring. Those who know him have undoubtedly been infected by his incredible laugh and willingness to help. Christopher will truly be missed by all, and the world has lost a gem. “May he Rest in Peace, in the glory of his true Father, his true Lord. We love you, Christopher.” Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Friday June 2nd at 10am. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery, New Rochelle.
