Claire Salvatore

Claire Salvatore of Yonkers died on Saturday July 26, 2014. Born in Yonkers to Albert and Jennie (Grassi) Salvatore in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. Claire worked as the secretary to Mayor John “Chippy” Flynn and Mayor Kris Kristonson for the City of Yonkers. She also was on the staff of both Senator Flynn and Senator Nick Spano. She was a parishioner of Christ the King Church and District Leader with the 6th. Ward Republican Party. Claire is survived by her 2 nieces; Barbara McCabe and Joan Cahill and great niece Susan and nephew Scott and their children Ryan, Madison, and Lauren. She was predeceased by her 3 sisters; Viola Dee, Matilda O’Donnell and Helen McCabe. Visitation will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday August 1, 2014 from 4 to 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday August 2, 2014 at Christ the King Church at 10am. Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
