Craig W. Mattil

Craig William Mattil, age 72 born September 28, 1946 in Yonkers, New York where he has been a resident for most of his life. He lost his battle after a brief illness at Kindred Hospital, Dover, New Jersey on July 10, 2019. Craig was a proud member of the United States Air Force where he was a Communication Specialist and was honorably discharged June, 1972. Before he retired, Craig worked at a few medical diagnostics companies. He worked at Technicon Corporation as a Field Service Office Manager for many years. He also worked at Steris Corporation and Alpha Medical as a Field Service Representative. He is survived by his wife Nancy of thirty three years. Craig had five children, Howard (Arcelia), Mark (Gladys), Amy (Raymond), Caitlin (Anthony) and Meagan. He also had four grandchildren, Craig, Angela, Stephanie and Mark Jr. He also had two great-grandchildren, Zaylee and Jensen. He had many nieces and nephews, Jessica, Christian, Anthony, Audrey, Robert, Christopher, Brandon, Chloe and Chelsea. Craig was a model railroad enthusiasts and he belonged to the Yonkers Model Railroad Club for almost fifty years. If you asked, he could tell you everything you ever wanted to know about trains. Craig loved visiting Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire where he had many great memories. He is predeceased by his mother Blanche, father Howard and his beloved sister Nancy DiCampli. Wake will be held at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home on Sunday, July 14th 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Services at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Oakland Cemetery.
