Dorothy (Sutherland) Honovich

Dorothy was born on March 14th 1950 in Yonkers to Dorothy and Kenneth Sutherland. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. A woman of grace and kindness, Dorothy touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a pillar of strength, always offering a listening ear and words of wisdom. Her nurturing spirit was felt deeply by her family and friends, and she will be forever missed.

In her earlier years, Dorothy had a passion for art, sewing and dressmaking. Her biggest passion was her little Izzy. She was also deeply committed to her family. Dorothy’s legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering support will live on through her children Harry Honovich Jr. and Kenneth Honovich, grandchildren Christopher Honovich, her ex husband Harry Honovich Sr. and her many dear friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter Dorothy B. Honovich, her husband Matthew Kavanaugh, Her parents and brothers. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and many other cherished family members and friends.

A memorial visitation for Dorothy will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703, followed by a prayer service from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
