Ed was born in Yonkers on September 30, 1931 to the late Nicholas Viviano and Wilhelmena Viviano (nee Galda). He was predeceased by brothers Alfred, Nicholas and Ralph and, babies Richard and Teresa Ellen. Beloved wife Josephine (nee Messar). Married June 6, 1954. Proud father of Edward (Eddie) (Valerie) Michael (Mickey) (Mary). Devoted grandfather to Michael C. Viviano. Also survived by many loving and caring family and friends and his favorite flower girl Carol Ann. Ed was a graduate of Gorton High School. Class of 1949. Also attended Westchester Community College. Ed proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of Carpenters Union #188. Ed played many sports and was most proud of the many sportsmanship awards that he received. He was devoted to youth sports and was a member of the Colts Youth Club for over 47 years. Ed cheered for the N.Y Yankees and Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed music and listening to his favorite artist Frank Sinatra. He would often say that one of Sinatra’s songs he favored was “The Best Is Yet to Come”. Ed felt that would be his entering into the “Kingdom of Heaven”. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Monday August 10th at 10:30am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
