Florence Leonardi

Florence Leonardi, age 93, of Yonkers, NY passed away on Friday July 14, 2017 in Woodbury, Long Island. Florence was born May 11, 1924 to the Fata Family. She attended High School in the Bronx where she graduated in 1942. She was wed to her beloved Salvatore Leonardi on November 4, 1945 at St. Anthanatious Church in the Bronx. Florence was a lifelong fan of the silver screen movies, and of course, Yankees baseball. She is survived by her children, Lewis Leonardi (Carol) and Mary Ellen Leonardi (Amy), her grandchildren, Laura and Michael (Lauren), and great grandson, Jason. She is also survived by her sisters Loretta Cardillo and Gloria Saraco. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore with whom she will be laid to rest. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday, July 16th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart RCC on Monday, July 16th at 9:30am.
