Frank David Fernandez (Det. Y.P.D.) of Yonkers died on Sunday February 14, 2016 at age 45. He was born on December 6, 1970 to Nazael and Nuvia (Garcia) Fernandez in Havana, Cuba. He graduated from Lincoln HS. He was a proud member of the Yonkers Police Department for over 15 years. He was hired on August 10, 2000 and promoted to Detective on July 26, 2007. He is survived by his wife Alex Fernandez who he married on December 14, 2002; his 2 children David and Daniel; his parents Nazael and Nuvia Fernandez and his brother Nazael (Sid) (Tina) Fernandez and his nephews Anthony, Nicholas and Andrew. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7-9pm and Thursday 2-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Friday February 19th at 9:30am.
