George R. Benzola, Sr., a longtime resident of Yonkers, died on Monday November 5, 2012 at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville. He was 89 years old. He was born on July 2, 1923 to Andrew and Angelina Anea Benzola in the Bronx where he was raised and educated. Mr. Benzola was a butcher for the Finast Supermarket in Yonkers for many yaers prior to his retirement. Mr. Benzola was married to his loving wife Ethel Ritchie for many years. Mrs. Benzola survives and lives in Yonkers. In addition to his wife, he is also surviived by his loving daughter Dorothy Henze and her children. Funeral services and final interment were private.
