He was born on January 25, 1968 to Flavio and Erminia Facca Darini in the Bronx. He attended Nativity Grade School and graduated from the Bronx High School of Science. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Iona College. Mr. Darini was a Police Officer for the City of New York for twenty-five years until his illness. He enjoyed sports, especially football and baseball and enjoyed watching football on Sundays. He also enjoyed walking his dog on the beach. On June 13, 1998, he married his loving wife, Cindy Galella in Sacred Heart Church. Cindy survives and lives in Pelham. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Flavio Darini of Pelham. He is also survived by his mother and father in law, Loretta and Michael Galella and his four sister-in-laws, Mary, Angela, Florence and Laura and his nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday 5-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Monday October 26th at 10:30am. Final disposition will be private. Donations in his memory may be made to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, N.Y. 10306.
