

He was born on December 23, 1947, in Freetown, Sierra Leone, to Abdallah, who immigrated from Lebanon and made Freetown his home, and Aminata Sankoh, who was born on the island of Pepel.
He received his education at Schlenker Secondary School in Port Loko and Prince of Wales High School in Freetown. In the early 1970's, he journeyed to the United States, where he not only built a life for himself but also helped create a path for others to follow. He later earned his bachelor's degree from New York City College, furthering his dedication to learning and growth.
He is lovingly remembered by his three children, Clarence Mohamed Nahim, George H. Nahim Jr. and Nabillah Amineth Nahim, stepdaughters Kadijatu Hassan and Alimatu Dittmann, his cherished grandchildren, Saadia Amineh, Yasmine Aminata,Ayanna, Jasmine, Azalia, Marcus, Olivia, Zara, Clarence, George III, Mika, and Sophia, his two sisters, Christina and Margaret, and his two brothers, Edward and Joseph.
He will be remembered as a devoted family man, a people person with a generous spirit, and someone who also valued the peace of his quiet moments. His life and legacy will continue to live on through all who loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home in Chapel "A" on August 23, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Prayer Service will also take place in the same location on the same day from 11:00 am to 11:45 am.
